Description
This Fender Custom Shop LTD 65 Jazzmaster Journeyman Relic in Aged Firemist Red is as visually striking at it is sonically superior. These handwound Jazzmaster Pickups have seemingly been wound by Angels. Sweet, warm, chimey, bell-like, scooped, and articulate immediately come to mind or ear upon putting this amazing guitar through it's paces.
The neck is carved to a 62 Jazzmaster Profile that measures in at .820" at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th. It's a nice medium sized neck and thanks to the 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6105 Frets this guitar is a breeze to play. The neck is made from Rift Sawn Maple which helps add a bit of stability. It is then topped with a AAA Dark Rosewood Fingerboard.
The RSD Bridge is a thing of beauty. Better tones thanks to the brass saddles and lack of threads on the saddle means left shifting and broken strings. All that pressure across the saddles really helps this guitar ring acoustically making it as fun to play unplugged as plugged.
