Here we have a special guitar. It's the Fender Custom Shop Rosewood Jaguar Prototype #2... Not 'a' but THE! It is in perfect shape, cosmetically and functionality wise. Comes with 2 neck plates, 2 Custom Shop certificates and the original hardshell case.
You know the Rosewood Tele, well why limit the incredible tonal capabilities of Rosewood to only the Tele shape? Offset's and Strat's need some love too! So a few years back we ordered basically a bevy of models in All Rosewood. After a few years in a private collection, we have it back for sale. It's a cool talking point and a beautiful guitar so we are happy to see it back again!
It's got a Mid 60's C shaped neck on it with a 9.5" fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets. This is an amazingly well playing guitar thanks to these player friendly specs. You get the playability of today meshed with the look and vibe of the late 1960's.
Yeah, it's heavy at 10 lbs 10 oz but it's ALL Rosewood. This wood is dense and the guitar is big. Add in all the extra hardware, chrome parts, and tremolo and you have a bit of a chunker. But that is simply the price you pay for having such a cool guitar (*cough cough LesPaulCustoms cough cough).
Greg Fessler came to the Fender Custom Shop in 1990, working his way up through the ranks as an apprentice. He assisted with the Robben Ford signature line of guitars, eventually becoming the sole builder of those instruments and, later, Ford’s personal builder. Fessler has built one-off Stratocaster and Telecaster models for a host of players, including Joe Bonnamasa, Jeff Healey, Hank Marvin, John Mayer, Rhonda Smith, Neil Schon and Pete Wentz, to name only a few.
Fessler’s remarkable abilities as a Master Builder have earned him accolades from many Fender artists and from discerning customers worldwide. His meticulous attention to detail is exemplified in every instrument he creates, each of which is a perfect example of the intense commitment it takes to earn the title of Master Builder.
Nobody treats used guitars like we do at The Music Gallery! All trade in's go through an inspection, cleaning, restring and setup before being put out on sale.
